The Residence at Carlisle Chicken BBQ Fundraiser to Benefit Alzheimer’s Association

Aug. 30 Event to Feature Kauffman’s Bar-B-Que and Highlight Memory Care Program

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Residence at Carlisle will host a chicken barbecue fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association – an event especially meaningful to the team at the Weathervane Senior Living community.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 30 at the newly constructed senior living community located at 400 Christian Loop. Scheduled to open this fall, The Residence at Carlisle will offer personal care and memory care in a vibrant community.

“This fundraiser holds deep meaning for our team because it supports a cause that’s close to our hearts,” said Karrie Guiles, Executive Operations Officer at The Residence at Carlisle. “The Alzheimer’s Association represents the same mission we live every day -- providing support, dignity, and compassion to those affected by memory loss.”

The memory care program provides a safe, warm, inviting and dignified environment for seniors living with memory impairments. The team at The Residence at Carlisle focuses on care and activities conducive to emotional, spiritual and social satisfaction.

The chicken barbecue fundraiser will offer a tasty meal provided by local favorite Kauffman’s Bar-B-Que, while also spotlighting the memory care program as well as the work of the Alzheimer’s Association. The menu includes a half chicken, baked potato, apple sauce, drink and dessert.

Tickets cost $13. Tours of The Residence at Carlisle personal and memory care apartments also are available.
